DAILY BLESSINGS

DOING WORDS AKA VERBS

                Proverbs 8: 34 & 35:

34:  Blessed is the man who listens to Me, watching daily at My gates,
waiting at the posts of My doors.
35: For whoever finds me finds life, and obtains favor from the Lord.

If we are to be blessed today. If we are to find God's favor today,
here are a few doing words:
               1. LISTEN TO HIM
               2.WATCH DAILY
               3.WAIT FOR HIM
The Word promises us that we would be blessed!
The Word also says, we will obtain favor from the Lord!

Today, pause for a moment and let us ask ourselves these questions:
               1. Am I listening to Him....present continuous tense!
Or am I listening to the world?
               2. Am I watching daily at His gates.....a daily event!
Or do I watch for Him in season only?
               3. Am I waiting for Him.....Or am I so impatient and independent that
I do not need Him in my  life?

DAILY BLESSINGS

SECRET OF A VICTORIOUS CHRISTIAN LIFE

        II Chronicles 7:14

If My people who are called by My Name will humble themselves,
and  pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will
hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

This is a text addressed to all who profess to be Christians. It is obvious there
         are issues of:

         1. PRIDE
         2. LACK OF PRAYER LIFE
         3. WICKEDNESS

If Christians are to have their prayers answered, sins forgiven and bring about a
healing in the land, there is a secret:

         1.  HUMILITY
         2.  PRAYER AND EARNESTLY SEEKING GOD'S FACE
         3.  TURNING FROM WICKED WAYS

The Word is very clear.THEN, it says I WILL

         1.  HEAR FROM HEAVEN
         2.  FORGIVE THEIR SIN
         3.  HEAL THEIR LAND

Let us make a commitment today to acknowledge our spiritual situation,
and then follow His Word to experience a great healing of our land!

INTERVIEW WITH PRODUCERS OF RUTH, A DOCUMENTARY DONE IN MANDARIN

Sound is critical and important to the overall impact of any piece of video. It separates the professional from the mediocre.
The audio sweetening process usually starts after the completion of the video and effects. At this point, the audio engineer gets to work to sweeten and make the audio sound the best possible.
In this project, we started by cleaning up the original audio that was recorded. We listened for noises, clicks, hum that existed and took them out very deftly.

We do audio sweetening and sound design for ministries. When some ministries have small budgets and yet we find that the audio is not clean...we step up and help with the limited budget that is allocated.

MACHINE TRANSLATIONS VERSUS HUMAN TRANSLATORS
I've had ministries ask me if we could cut translations costs by using machine translations. Some have said that the machine translation is being constantly improved, and may be one should use human translators as just post-editors. This approach they felt was quick, efficient and most importantly, a much cheaper way to get the translations.
If one was to get an idea of the original text, I personally feel it is okay...but if the translation is for lip sync or voice over recording.... My response is a resounding NO!

This a project where only the Spanish translations and dubbing was done. Mix was done by the client in their own studio.
In this project, the challenges were to (a) match the on-screen voice characters (b) coach the voice actor to  sing, and (c) to get the right voice delivery to match the original.
At Christian Dubbing Studio, we take all these factors seriously.

Languages of the World- An opportunity to reach them.

There are approximately 6,500 living languages listed, out of these about 6,000 have registered population numbers.
Here are some interesting facts:
* 52% of the 6,000 languages are spoken by less than 10,000 people.
* 28% are spoken by less than 1,000 people.

We talk about a language and then of a dialect. The difference is not always clear-cut. It has nothing to do with similarity of vocabulary, grammar or pronunciation. Sometimes, the differences are based purely on geographical, political, or religious reasons.

The ten largest languages in the world happens to be the first languages for nearly half of the world's poulation.

A SPECIAL WORD TO THOSE WHO DO DUBBING.
 OR PLANNING TO DO DUBBING:

While budgets are a very important factor in decision-making, please do not let it be the ONLY factor!
It would help to keep the following factors in mind when doing a dubbing project. For that matter, use it as a checklist even for your ongoing projects.

Our Studio in Burbank

Christian Dubbing Studio has been serving the translations  and dubbing needs of ministries, producers and production companies for the last several years. We offer translations, dubbing, subtitling, graphic text replacement in more than 70 foreign languages. What separates us from other dubbing studios is the fact that we offer Christian supervision for every translation that is done. This ensures content integrity and accuracy.
This service and part of our production process has brought about accuracy and relevance to the translations. Most of the times, ministries, producers and production companies depend on the dubbing studios to provide the right end product in languages. More often because translators are not conversant with the Scriptures, the translations end up with a distorted and incorrect message...far far away from what was intended. Here's an example: The English text read as : David danced before the Ark....The translation came out as David danced before Noah's Ark!
Now, no one at the ministry could catch this error because they depended solely on the people whom they entrusted the project to. At Christian Dubbing Studio, we ensure a three tier process, of translation, transcreation, and Christian content check for doctrinal accuracy and integrity. Besides this, we do adaptation for timing, and or to lip sync, to ensure the best quality language version.
